We start with the cheap, common culprits: a charging port packed with pocket lint, dirty pod-well contacts, or a bad cable — a clean clears a surprising number of 'dead case' complaints at minimal cost. If the port itself is damaged (bent pins, a worn Lightning or USB-C connector), we replace the port. If the case charges but won't hold it, the case's own small battery has worn out and we replace that. Contacts and lid-switch / hinge faults are serviced too — a case that doesn't sense the lid won't connect your pods properly. Because the case is a sealed unit, the careful part is opening and re-closing it cleanly. We always confirm whether the fault is the case or the pods first — sometimes a 'pods won't charge' problem is actually the case — so you don't replace the wrong thing. If the case is beyond economical repair we tell you straight, since a replacement case alone (keeping your pods) is an option.
