Before you assume the port is broken

Three quick checks at home.

  1. Try a different cable. Cables are the failure point in 30–40% of "won't charge" cases — they look fine but the inner conductors have broken inside the strain-relief.
  2. Try a different wall plug. Cheap car / multi-port chargers fail silently. A laptop USB port or a known-good wall plug rules this out.
  3. Shine a light into the port. Pocket lint, food crumbs, sand — common on iPhone Lightning. If you see fluff, do not pick at it with metal; bring it in and we lint-clean for free.

Q.01Where can I repair a charging port near me in KL or Selangor?

Q.02My charging port is rosak — phone charges only at an angle or very slowly. Is it the port?
Often yes. Charging only at an angle, slow charging, or a cable that keeps falling out usually points to a worn or dirty charging port rather than the battery. Lint packed inside the port is the most common cause and is cleaned free in-branch; if the port pins or flex are damaged we replace the charging port assembly. Water or liquid exposure can also cause charging port faults, so tell us if the phone ever got wet.
Q.03How do I know if it's the cable or the port that's broken?
Try the same cable on a different phone. If the cable works there, the port is the problem. We always run this three-cable test free in-branch before quoting any port work.
Q.04How much does charging port repair cost?

Q.05Can I just clean the port myself with a toothpick or compressed air?
Compressed air is fine. Toothpicks, SIM ejector pins, or anything metal pushed into the port can bend the inner pins. Bring it in for a free port clean before assuming the port itself is broken.
Q.06How long does charging port repair take?
Most repairs are done the same day: with the part in stock and no queue, usually within 3–5 hours — phones, iPads and tablets alike.
Q.07My phone shows "Liquid Detected" but I don't think it's wet — what should I do?
iPhone "Liquid Detected" warnings can persist for days after a brief humidity exposure even when the phone is dry. We do free cleaning of the connector and water-damage indicator inspection.
Q.08Will USB-C iPhone (15 / 16 / 17) charging port repair cost more than Lightning iPhone?
Slightly — USB-C connectors on iPhone 15+ are newer parts with smaller supply pool, so list price is higher than Lightning equivalents on iPhone 12–14.
