Outer glass is cracked but the screen still shows a clear image and touch still works. On most current models we can swap the front glass alone — much cheaper than a full LCD / OLED replacement, and the original panel is preserved.

Common on

Drops onto pavement or tile that crack the surface but spare the panel underneath. Most common on iPhone 11 series and later, Samsung S20 series and later.

Notes

Glass-only is not always cheaper or smarter — for some models the labour cost of careful separation makes a full panel swap more sensible. We tell you upfront.

Glass crack has reached the panel underneath — black ink spots, vertical or horizontal lines, dead pixel zones, half-screen blackout. Glass-only repair is no longer an option; the full display assembly needs replacing.

What we replace

Full display assembly — outer glass, digitizer, and LCD / OLED panel.

Common on

Harder drops or any drop that produces visible dead pixels or coloured lines after impact.

Display still shows the image but touch input doesn't register, or registers in the wrong spot — "ghost touch", partial-screen dead zones, swipes that don't follow your finger. The digitizer layer has failed even though glass and panel may look fine.

What we replace

Digitizer layer — usually as part of a full display assembly swap.

Common on

Phones that look undamaged but lost touch after a fall or after extreme cold / heat exposure.

Notes

Sometimes a software calibration or 3D Touch / Haptic Touch reset fixes it free of charge — we always check that first.

Single bright green or coloured vertical line running top-to-bottom on Samsung Galaxy S / Note OLED, iPhone Pro / Pro Max OLED, or Pixel OLED. Often appears days or weeks after a drop, sometimes spontaneously after an OS update on hot days.

What we replace

Full OLED display assembly — green-line damage cannot be repaired in-panel.

Common on

Samsung Galaxy S22 / S23 / S24 / Note 20, iPhone 13 Pro / 14 Pro / 15 Pro, Pixel 7 Pro / 8 Pro.

Notes

Not user-fault. We see this daily and stock both Samsung Service Pack and OEM-grade aftermarket OLED panels.

Phone fell, now turns on but the screen stays black. You can hear notification sounds, the phone vibrates, sometimes the LED indicator works — display is dead. Could be a disconnected display flex, a damaged display IC on the motherboard, or a fully dead panel.

What we replace

Display flex first (often the cheapest fix), then full assembly if the panel itself is damaged.

Common on

Drops on the corner of the phone — the display flex pops loose at the connector before the panel itself fails.

Notes

Free diagnosis — sometimes a 5-minute reseat of the display flex revives it at no charge to you.

iPad Pro / Air / mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab S / A series, Huawei MatePad, Xiaomi Pad, OPPO Pad — cracked digitizer, broken glass over LCD, OLED line damage. Tablets need careful separation due to large adhesive area.

What we replace

Glass-only on most iPad and Galaxy Tab S models; full assembly on later iPad Pro and OLED tablets.

Common on

Tablets dropped while standing or knocked off counters during use.

Notes

Most iPad classic / Air models still allow glass-only. iPad Pro 11 / 12.9 OLED requires full assembly. WhatsApp the model number for the route.
