We start with the cheap, common culprits: a charging port packed with pocket lint, dirty pod-well contacts, or a bad cable — a clean clears a surprising number of 'dead case' complaints at minimal cost. If the port itself is damaged (bent pins, a worn Lightning or USB-C connector), we replace the port.
