Two issues are unique to this cohort and not seen on Apple Silicon models: Flexgate (the stage-light display backlight fault affecting 2016–2018 MacBook Pro 13 and 15-inch — a display cable flex that cracks after repeated lid opens) and the butterfly keyboard (the 2016–2019 keyboard mechanism notorious for key failures from a single crumb or dust particle).
