The M5 logic board has the new GPU architecture and slightly different connector layout — board-level work and parts are NOT interchangeable with M4 Air. At 2 months old, walk-ins for battery work are zero. The realistic intake at this age is mechanical damage from accidents: dropped corners, hinge damage from forcing the lid closed on a pen or charger, and the occasional café spill.
