We open the MacBook, disconnect the battery first to kill any live short, then fully strip the logic board and give it an ultrasonic cleaning bath in a specialised solution that lifts corrosion out of places a brush can't reach, followed by isopropyl and targeted corrosion removal under a microscope. Sugary and salty spills leave conductive residue that keeps corroding, so thorough cleaning matters far more than a quick wipe. Once clean we test rail by rail; if a component, the keyboard, the trackpad or a port was killed by the liquid we replace it, and genuine board-level faults (a shorted power IC, burned traces) are micro-soldered at our Kepong HQ. We never just dry it and hand it back — that's how liquid jobs come back dead a week later.
