iPad Pro M2 / M1 Water Damage.

Workshop / board-level, typically around 24 hours and time-critical — the sooner it arrives, the more we can save. iPad has no IP water rating, so liquid reaches the board easily and corrosion starts immediately. We open the iPad (more involved than a phone because the display is laminated and bonded), disconnect the battery to kill any live short, fully strip the logic board and give it an ultrasonic cleaning bath that lifts corrosion out of places a brush can't reach, then isopropyl and targeted corrosion removal under a microscope. Salty and sugary liquids leave conductive residue that keeps corroding, so thorough cleaning matters more than a quick dry. Once clean we test rail by rail and replace anything the liquid killed — a charging port, the battery, a flex — and genuine board-level faults are micro-soldered at our Kepong HQ. We never just dry it and hand it back. Honest call up front: liquid damage is the one repair we can't promise on, because it depends entirely on what got in and how long it sat — we tell you the realistic odds after we open it, and the diagnosis is free.
