On iPad Air, Pro and Mini 6+ the display is laminated and more fragile, which adds time. Swollen cells are handled the same way but always brought in powered off — a punctured swollen lithium cell can ignite. We test charging and runtime before returning it, and if your charging issue turns out to be the port rather than the cell, we tell you straight and quote the smaller job instead.
