Dead iPhone that won't power on, stuck on the Apple logo, or stuck in a boot loop? SPR's free walk-in diagnosis narrows it to battery, charging flex, or logic board in under 30 minutes.
ON-BENCH REPAIR · 16 BRANCHESBefore repair, we narrow the cause. These are the most common root causes we see — some are cheap fixes, some need board-level work.
iPhone failing to turn on can be caused by a depleted or faulty battery, a damaged charging flex, a failed tristar IC, or a deeper logic board fault. At SPR we start with free diagnosis at any of 16 branches — most cases are resolved with battery or flex work at branch level in 1–2 hours. Board-level no-boot cases are referred to our Kepong HQ for chip-level diagnosis, typically returned within 24 hours.
1–24 hours depending on the cause, and the free diagnosis is the whole point — 'won't turn on' has very different fixes at very different costs, so we isolate the cause before quoting. First we rule out software with a force-restart and, if needed, a DFU restore. Then we test the battery and the charging path: a dead or pre-failure battery is a counter-level swap, and a faulty charging port or charging IC is a port-level repair. If power is reaching the board but it still won't boot, we move to board-level diagnosis at our Kepong HQ — measuring current draw to find a short, a failed power-management IC, or impact / liquid damage to a rail, repaired by micro-soldering. Boot loops can be software (a restore) or a hardware fault feeding a kernel panic, and we separate the two before touching the board. The honest part: a battery or port fix is quick and affordable, while a board-level no-boot is more involved and we can't promise it sight-unseen — we tell you which bucket yours is in after the free diagnosis, so you decide with the real cost in front of you.

That's exactly what the free diagnosis answers, and the two are very different repairs. A dead or pre-failure battery is a quick, affordable counter swap; a logic-board fault is a more involved board-level repair. We charge it on a known-good setup, test the battery and the charging path, and only move to the board if power isn't getting through — so you're never quoted a board repair when a battery would do.
Often yes. A boot loop is sometimes software, which a DFU restore can fix while preserving data where possible, and sometimes a hardware fault feeding a kernel panic. We diagnose which it is first. If it's hardware (common after a drop or spill), we repair at board level. We always tell you upfront whether your data is likely recoverable before doing anything irreversible.
Usually a failed battery that can no longer hold a charge under load, which is a straightforward replacement. Sometimes it's a charging fault that only delivers enough power to run while connected. We test both during the free diagnosis and quote the actual cause rather than guessing.

No — SPR is independent. We're not Apple, not an Apple Authorised Service Provider, and we don't claim to be. We've been repairing Apple devices for 17 years across 16 branches in KL and Selangor. If you specifically want Apple-genuine parts and an Apple-issued service record, your only option is Apple's own out-of-warranty service. If you want fast same-day independent repair with a 6-month warranty at independent shop pricing, that's us.
Every won't turn on at SPR comes with a 6-month warranty on parts and labour, honoured at all 16 branches across KL and Selangor — bring it to any SPR location for warranty work, not just the branch where the repair was done. Water-damage repairs carry a shorter warranty due to the unpredictable progression of corrosion.
OEM-grade parts as standard — manufactured to the same specifications as the originals. Premium-grade options are available on request for most models. We show you both tiers upfront so you can choose what fits. Apple does not sell parts to repair shops, so no independent shop in Malaysia can offer Apple-genuine parts; anyone claiming so is misleading.
Yes. Free diagnosis on walk-in at every branch. If we cannot repair your device, you pay nothing — no diagnostic fee, no consultation charge. Many fixes (lint cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, software-only) cost nothing if that's all that's needed.
