Common questions. For unlisted cases, contact SPR support directly via WhatsApp.
Q.01Where can I get an LCD green line repair near me in KL or Selangor?[+]
└─ SPR runs 16 walk-in branches across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor — Kepong (HQ), Uptown Damansara, Puchong Kenari, Sri Petaling, Taman Segar, Setapak, Mahkota Cheras, Kuchai Lama, Ampang, Mid Valley, IOI City Mall 2, Sungei Wang, Taman Maluri, Equine Park, Taipan USJ, and Rawang Anggun City. No appointment needed — walk into the closest branch with the affected phone. Free diagnosis on arrival, quote on the spot, work only starts after you confirm.
Q.02Do I always need a full LCD replacement to fix a green line?[+]
└─ No. Some green / pink line cases — especially ones that appeared right after a software update or a minor knock — can be fixed by reseating the LCD ribbon connector or by an LCD driver IC reflow. That route is faster (often under 45 minutes) and cheaper than a full panel swap. We diagnose the root cause first, then show you both options if they exist. If the panel itself is damaged, a swap is the only fix and we say so straight.
Q.03How much does an LCD green line repair cost?[+]
└─ Pricing depends on the device model, the panel type (LCD vs OLED), and whether a ribbon reseat works or a full panel is needed. iPhone 13 Pro is not the same job as a Redmi Note. WhatsApp us the phone model and a photo of the line, and we send a quote range before you come in. Free diagnosis at the branch confirms the exact route. No fix means no charge — if we can't clear the line, you pay nothing.
Q.04My green line appeared after an iOS update with no drop — is it a software bug?[+]
└─ Sometimes yes. iPhone 11/12/13 series occasionally show a vertical line after a major iOS release without any prior impact — in those cases a display recalibration or a True Tone re-program may clear it without changing the panel. We try the software-side fix first if the symptoms match. If recalibration doesn't help, the panel has likely been weakening for a while and the update just triggered the visible failure.
Q.05Is the repair warranted?[+]
└─ Yes — every LCD green line repair includes a 6-month warranty on the replaced part (or on the reseat work, if no part was swapped). Honoured at all 16 SPR branches across KL and Selangor, so you can walk into any location if anything goes wrong. Warranty does not cover new physical impact or liquid damage after the repair.
Q.06Will my data be safe during the repair?[+]
└─ Yes. LCD work does not touch your storage or any of your personal data. Photos, messages, apps, Apple ID, Samsung account — all stay exactly where they were. We power-cycle the phone after the repair to confirm display behaviour, then return it locked at the lock screen for you to verify on the spot.
Q.07Can you repair a green line on a folding phone (Galaxy Z Fold / Flip)?[+]
└─ Yes for most models, but the panel is more delicate and the parts cost more. Galaxy Z Fold 3/4/5 and Flip 4/5 use ultra-thin glass with a polymer top layer — repair routes are model-specific. Send us the model and a photo of the line on WhatsApp first, we'll tell you if the model is repairable in-house or needs the official Samsung route.
Q.08What's the difference between an LCD line and a touch dead-zone?[+]
└─ A line is a visible coloured stripe — green, pink, white, or black — that stays on the screen all the time. A touch dead-zone is invisible — the display looks fine but a strip of the screen doesn't respond to your finger. Both can come from the same drop, but they need different fixes. Send us a video of the screen with the issue and we'll tell you which one you're dealing with.
Q.09How long does the repair take?[+]
└─ Most ribbon-reseat green-line fixes are done in 30–60 minutes while you wait. A full LCD swap on an iPhone or Samsung typically takes 45–90 minutes once we have the part on hand. If the model needs an OLED panel we don't stock at the branch, we tell you upfront — usually next-day pickup or same-day if you can leave the phone with us.
Q.10I have a green line plus the screen is also cracked — single repair?[+]
└─ Yes — both come together when we change the full LCD assembly. You don't pay twice. Same job, same warranty. If only the glass is cracked and the LCD is fine (no line, no bleeding), a cheaper glass-only fix may be possible — bring it in for a free check.
